Bye Bye Birdie

The school's musical production of Bye Bye Birdie was a rollercoaster. For those unfamiliar with the show it is a satire inspired by Elvis Presley's draft notice. I was cast as one of the leads, Kim MacAfee. The lucky girl who is chosen to be kissed by Conrad Birdie. I was really paranoid about the show this year. As most of you know I broke my foot back in January. It was very devastating for me. Luckily my director refused to recast me, to the dismay of many of my peers ;P. My biggest worry was not being able to learn all the choreography in time. I think Idrove mom crazywill my constant worrying and mood-swings. She and Ry were troopers for putting up with me and helping me while I was imobile. In the end it all truned out fine. The show was a success despite all the little bumps along the way.

Heres some pictures fron the show and rehearsals

Pledging our love to Conrad Birdie

I'm supposed to be in shock over the fact that I get to kiss Conrad but it
looks like I'm praying

I had to get dressed on stage for one of my numbers, it was kind
of tricky
this picture came out really blurry but it looks almost like a painting

Fainting over Conrad Birdie

This number was one of my favorites, even though the director changed the
choreography for it two days before we opened.

It was fun, but I'm glad its over. And thanks to those of you who were able to come and see me. I really appreciate it.
